Google Sheets Permissions

Google Sheets Permissions play a part in how users of Coefficient interact with the imports in each Sheet/Workbook.

Editor Access

Coefficient Licensed User

Scenario 1: A Coefficient licensed user (Alex Demore) (within your domain) is given Editor access to your spreadsheet/workbook.

  1. To grant a user (Alex Demore) Editor access to your sheet, click on the “Share” button in the top-right corner of your Google Sheet. Enter the user’s email address OR name and select their permissions to this Sheet from the dropdown (Editor).

  1. This user (Alex) will now be able to “Open the Sidebar”, “Refresh the Import”, and perform “Export to…” functions within your Sheet. This user MAY be able to edit your import - see the note below for details.

<aside> 💡 Note: Depending on the permission set at the import level, a user with EDITOR access to the sheet, may still be limited in interacting with Coefficient imports. See the Locked Imports article for additional information.

Coefficient User on the Free Plan

Scenario 2: A user on the Free plan with Coefficient (Freddy Freeman) (within your domain) is given Editor access to your spreadsheet/workbook.

  1. To grant a user (Freddy Freeman) Editor access to your sheet, click on the “Share” button in the top-right corner of your Google Sheet. Enter the user’s email address OR name and select their permissions to this Sheet from the dropdown (Editor).
