Connecting to Google Search Console
Import from Scratch with Google Search Console
Schedule your Import, Snapshots, and Automations
When you start a Google Search Console import for the first time, you will need to connect/authorize Coefficient to access your GSC data.
Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click the Menu.
Select “Connected Sources”.
Select “Add Connection*”* at the bottom and then “Connect” to Google Search Console.
“Authorize” the connection*.*
Choose the Google account you use for Google Search Console.
“Allow” *access/*permissions. If successful, you will be taken back to Google Sheets.
From the sidebar, select “Import from…”
Choose “Google Search Console” from the list.
Select “Start from scratch”.
Choose your site/property (example: coefficient.io) from your GSC account.
Enter the Dimensions, Metrics, and Search Type needed for your import. Click inside the white box area for each section to search for the fields you need. The data previewer shows a sample of the data from the fields you select. Leave the “Include Fresh Data” box checked if you need to see the latest data and not just include the finalized data (deemed by Google).
Customize your import by adding filters, and row limits as needed. Click the “Refresh Preview” option to update the sample data based on what customizations are added. Hit “Import”.
Google Search Console API does not support sorting, see the FAQ (below) for more information.
Congratulations on your first Google Search Console import in Coefficient! 🎉
