Google Analytics 4 allows you to create an import from scratch or use one of our Import Recipes to give you a head start. Coefficient allows you to pull in metrics, dimensions, and segments directly from Google Analytics 4 for further analysis. 📈📊
When you begin a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) import for the first time, you will need to connect/authorize Coefficient to access your Google Analytics 4 data.
Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click the Menu.
Select “Connected Sources”.
Select “Add Connection*”* at the bottom and then “Connect” to Google Analytics 4.
“Authorize” the connection*.*
Choose your Google account.
“Allow” *access/*permissions. If successful, you will be taken back to Google Sheets.
From the sidebar, select “Import from…”
Choose “Google Analytics 4” from the list.
Select “Start from scratch”.
The “Import Preview” window appears, select the property to import.
Select the Dimensions and Metrics needed for your import. Click inside the white box area for each section to search for the fields you need. The data previewer shows a sample of the data from the fields you select.
Customize your import by adding filters, sorts, or limits as needed. The sample data will be updated based on what customizations are added. Once done, click “Import” on the top right of your screen. (Date logic filters are a great way to keep your imports focused and light-weight)
Congratulations on your first GA4 import in Coefficient! 🎉
