Deleting your imports in Coefficient can help you remove queries used to test the system, imports no longer needed/used, and even obsolete data. Whatever the reason, keeping your workbooks in Google Sheets tidy and focused is the goal and we love goals here at Coefficient!
Deleting an import is a very simple and straightforward process. You can choose to delete the import and all of its data OR you can delete just the import and leave the data in Google Sheets. The latter option essentially renders the data as flat data that will no longer be refreshed by Coefficient from the data source.
A pop-up window will appear confirming this action. Check the box to “Also delete imported data”. Then “Delete”.
Coefficient will then delete the import from the sidebar, the data in the sheet, and the tab containing the data.
This action cannot be undone. If you deleted your import in error, you will need to re-create it from scratch.
Open the Coefficient sidebar, and locate the import you wish to delete.
Click the 3-vertical dots that appear next to the import. Select “Delete” from the options.
A pop-up window will appear confirming this action. Un-check the box to “Also delete imported data”. Then “Delete”.
The import will be deleted from your list in the sidebar, and the on-sheet buttons (Open Sidebar and Refresh) will be removed from the Coefficient header (row 1). Your import has now become a tab with static data in it and is no longer a Coefficient import that can be refreshed.
